The Warm Audio WA-44 recreates the most iconic studio ribbon microphone of all time, the RCA 44 from the 1930s. Expect warm, vintage tone with powerful bass, lush mids and a smooth top end, plus a tight figure-8 pattern that rejects sound from the sides.
Highlights
- Figure-8 ribbon design inspired by the RCA 44
- Custom CineMag USA transformer
- Neodymium magnet
- 99.1% aluminum, 2.5-micron ribbon (4.7 x 59.7 mm)
- Handles loud sources well
Great for: vocals, horns, acoustic guitar, drums, piano and voice-over
