The Warm Audio WA-8000 tube condenser is inspired by a revered early-1990s design. It has an open top end, a very clear midrange and exceptional detail, the sound behind a lot of modern R&B and hip-hop vocals.
Highlights
- New-old-stock, military-grade 6AU6 tube
- Custom Lundahl (Sweden) transformer
- All-brass K67-style capsule wired straight to the tube
Great for: modern R&B, hip-hop and pop vocals
